A friend of mine who works at Tesla says the reason they put the roadster on top of the Falcon Heavy is they wanted to test how well the self-driving system works in outer space.
It looks like it still needs some tweaks.
- King-Aaron 9y agoI'd be interested in seeing the crash test results when it slaps into the side of an asteroid at 13,600 m/s Hopefully the dummy has a few G sensors on board...
