You cannot see bugs reported by other users, and if yours gets closed as a duplicate, you cannot see the original report's progress or be notified when it's fixed. A colleague reported a number of Safari bugs that he was quickly locked out of as duplicates. He stopped bothering eventually. Held up our automated testing for weeks.
