Can you explain this to me? I know gas engines have this attribute but I assumed electric motors didn't.
- andlier 9y agoResistive power losses in the battery pack, drive inverter, motor, and associated wiring are proportional to the square of the current. Doubling the motor current doubles the torque but quadruples the losses.
