FOSDEM 2018 – Live Streaming
- StavrosK 9y agoIf anyone's interested, I'm doing a lighthearted fifteen-minute talk at 15:30 UTC tomorrow about how to do email validation (for signup forms and things like that). Here's the link to the stream: https://live.fosdem.org/watch/k1105 https://live.fosdem.org/watch/k1105
- icebraining 9y agoIt was a great talk, it's in my top 3 of the weekend :)
- StavrosK 9y agoHaha, thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
- moneytalks 9y agoHere's a satirical summary of the agenda: http://n-gate.com/fosdem/2018/01/28/0/ http://n-gate.com/fosdem/2018/01/28/0/
- icebraining 9y agoApparently there's a "security check". I have to wonder what's being "secured".
- zkomp 9y agoI can agree slightly on some of this, but it quickly miss the point completely and is not even funny or satire. It is quite simple: just skip the people and or technologies that make you vomit in your mouth and go for the interesting parts instead. FOSDEM is huge and there is usually something somewhere that will be interesting. PostgreSQL, Prometheus, Grafana, Firefox, (tomorrow Rust). Nothing to complain about, and it is free.
- confounded 9y agoI enjoy it when n-gate make fun of us on HN, but it seems a bit mean-spirited to post this on a FOSDEM thread.
- Tepix 9y agoTons of talks and the ones I heard today were really good.
- staz 9y agoAnd sadly tons of promising talks which are impossible to enter
- tux3 9y agoThis year it seems there are some official recordings on the FOSDEM channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/fosdemtalks/videos https://www.youtube.com/user/fosdemtalks/videos I've also seen some unofficial stream dumps here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYOPCKYceoPwLI-A7tck3wg/videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYOPCKYceoPwLI-A7tck3wg/vid...
