I have a naive question:
Why can’t healthcare be like going to the mechanic to get your car fixed?
You go to the shop, they tell you the problem and give you an estimate, and you go from there.
Why is healthcare so much more complicated?
- tathougies 9y agoHave you ever had an undiagnosable condition? A car is a human invention, so fixing it is easy. Moreover, if it can't be fixed, the solution of buying another car is an option. The same is not true with your body.
- Balgair 9y agoWhen a car dies, it's a money problem. When a human dies, it is more than a money problem. Also, cars aren't subjective. Flat tires are flat tires. With humans, coughs aren't just coughs and broken bones aren't just broken bones. The level of complexity is vastly larger. Even a simple yeast cell is essentially a black box still.
