I don’t mind the downvotes or anything, but it struck me as strange that on the same day that it’s reported Google is pursuing partnerships with an entity as corrupt and demonstrably awful as the Saudi regime, people see this as outside the range of possibility.
- gkgicccj 9y agoI fear that HN has need taken over by people drinking Google kool aid just because Google buys devs with free stuff. This is obviously a very radical scenario but if Google did open source on principal, they'd open source some of their profit making stuff that is also unique in class. I'm not asking they should, I'm just saying it's stupid to assume they have anyone's but shareholders interests in mind
