- ch4s3 9y agoOh please. You can easily criticize something without hating it. I’m American and believe there are plenty of things to both admire and criticize about our nation. Blind nationalism doesn’t do us any favors, and is a lever by which cynical forces may manipulate us. It is therefore instrumental to the health of our republic that we constantly view ourselves with a critical eye.
