- tedwasright 9y agoScott Davis, a longtime GE analyst and the CEO of Melius Research LLC, has calculated that GE’s total return on Immelt’s acquisitions has been half what the company would have earned by simply investing in stock index mutual funds. Good article on how GE ended up in the situation it's in. Very sad to see the decline and fall of what was once a company as revered as Apple or Google.
