This is indeed an over simplification of city life vs. country life. Small town people understand the value of government, they just don't get to enjoy in its prosperity the way cities do. If you're in a small town, good luck getting that pothole repaired on the road. The state allocates budgets based on usage and guess what, that country road barely registers as useful. Yet there are real people that depend on that road daily. So when they say, fuck the government, honestly what they're hoping is, since it's not working for me, it must be broken for everyone. I'm not saying the state needs to fix that pothole to keep everyone happy, but I'm just saying, it's not just lack of exposure that separates the two people.
