I appreciate the response and my heart bleeds for the countless people like me and even worse out there. While yes, even in places with systems there is not a guarantee, at least there is a chance, and the UK's system isn't amazing compared to many continental systems. It's realistically too late for me to wait for any such paradigm shift. I am on too short of a clock both physically and mentally. I do hope it will make this sort of less much less common for the future though.
