You can always invoke a script and have it execute with the right shell using the shebang line. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shebang_(Unix) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shebang_(Unix) I used fish for years, never had a problem with bash or zsh scripts.
