In Javaland, JSP, Spring, OSGi, and servlet containers all introduce massive amounts of complexity, yet are ignored by "real engineers" in favor of (inexplicably) bashing Kafka and Redux. Stop labeling something "complex" just because you're unfamiliar or uncomfortable with it.
