I'm not a professional programmer, but I'd imagine the amount of code available for both BitTorrent and Bitcoin might be enough for someone with a lot of experience coding to say whether or not this is likely to be true based on coding style. My bet is it's not. Also, agree with the other comments here that these sort of articles are both dangerous and disrespectful.
