J1772 was fine until they added IP networking.
I do not want a physical network connection between some unaudited charging station code and my likewise unaudited car control code.
I don't even want to turn on telematics, until the car industry subcontractors start hiring security engineers instead of EEs for their software.
- NotSammyHagar 9y agoi've never heard that j1772 has ip networking to the car, are you sure of that? it's at least optional, because you can have home j1772 chargers without needing an internet connection.
