CACO3 -> CAO + CO2
Plus the CO2 released by fuel used in the burning process.

- kragen 9y agoAs explained in the reference given, nearly all of the CO₂ is reabsorbed when the lime sets, while portland cement reabsorbs a smaller proportion of the CO₂ generated.
