Agreed. Kay, Nelson, et al are well-known more as an accident of timeline convergence than due to their revolutionary insights. That's not to say they don't have or didn't have revolutionary insights, it's just to say that such insights are rarely widely recognized. :) This is painfully obvious when we see that these people themselves have been making comments critical of the industry for decades, and have generally been ignored.
