Agreed -- I don't think blockchain introduces anything _entirely_ new to any type of application. Blockchain in healthcare goes a lot further than user control/convenience though, and a "holy grail" success would mean complete interoperability across the industry in terms of security and data & knowledge sharing. Also the whole "centralization" bit was already mentioned.
