Let's hope we remember innocence until proven guilty. The timing is suspect though.

  Of course if you want a smear campaign, you choose a charge that ensures that the innocence before proven guilty principle is immediately dropped. I wonder why it's not child pornography, that would allow the authorities to go after every data system he ever touched, and it's way easier to make up stuff.

    Yep, surprised that it's not child porn. Wikileaks hosts quite a lot of pointers to child porn resources in the form of country-wise website banlists.

    Child pornography would certainly be a far more effective smear charge if you wanted to discredit the movement and not just the individual behind it.
