Fastest/Easiest Recurring Billing Solutions for Web Apps

I'm doing some rapid prototyping for a new subscription based web app. I need a solution that will allow me to charge customers if a date variable matches the date a daily php chron job runs. Is Amazon Payments the fastest way to set up shop?
