It's only about 20km further assuming Alaska is 1/3 of the world's circumference away from Australia.
(1/3)*(2*pi*(r+10) - 2*pi*r) = (1/3)(20*pi) ~= 20
- yitchelle 9y agoWow, that is surprising. I should have thought about it further. The radius of earth is 6371Km and 10Km works out to be 0.15% of it. So 20Km is reasonable.
