What's the big deal with Terminal.app? I honestly don't see it--maybe I'm not power user enough, but it's fine for me.

- mironathetin 19y agoThe big deal is to have tabs. One terminal window means one process. Although a process can be send to the background, it is at least my habit not to do that (most of the time). Tabs avoid the clutter of many terminal windows. Thats it. And it is even easier than using screen.
- edu 19y agoLeopard's Terminal.app has tabs. Until Leopard I've been using iTerm, but now I've com back to Terminal.app as it uses less memory & cpu and has tabs. I don't need anything more.
- avinashv 19y agoBeat me to the punch. Tabs is all I would have missed (I switched to OS X at Leopard).
- mironathetin 19y agoAh, good. I still use OS 10.4
