Whoever changed the title managed to make it less clear. With "Linus" in the title it was clear that it was Linux.

- dang 9y agoI did that. We've observed over the years that celebrity names in titles tend to make for poorer discussion. HN is better when the focus is on content rather than personalities. https://hn.algolia.com/?sort=byDate&dateRange=all&type=comment&storyText=false&prefix=false&page=0&query=by:dang%20content%20personalities https://hn.algolia.com/?sort=byDate&dateRange=all&type=comme... Edit: ok, you guys have convinced me that this is a special case and we've put Linus back in the title above.
- Valmar 9y agoGood to know. :)
- askvictor 9y agoBut it would certainly be good to have some context on the quote (i.e. that it has to do with Linux, Intel and Meltdown)
- AHTERIX5000 9y agoYeah, now the title is more clickbaity
- jwilk 9y agoThen you should have posted the comment that you did. Also, cherry picking a quote and putting it in submission title is against HN guidelines.
- dagurp 9y agoToo bad it didn't work
- icelancer 9y agoThat's a good blanket rule, but Linus' comments are uniquely important. He is a subject matter expert and context is important regarding who is doing the yelling. This isn't some celebrity who is famous for something irrelevant.
