I have't done the code walkthrough course, but I bought and watched Kirk McKusick's Kernel Internals course and it is excellent (https://www.mckusick.com/courses/introdescrip.html https://www.mckusick.com/courses/introdescrip.html). It is based around FreeBSD, but is a generic enough Unix internals course that it is good for Linux. I'm thankful to have the opportunity to learn from someone with such deep knowledge of Unix, who was involved with BSD from the early days in the 80s to modern FreeBSD.
