Male is relevant, since men are more drawn to being Wikipedia editors than women. it has been argued that the deletionist policies of the people running the wikipedia project put women off to a greater degree than they put men off; I've no idea whether that is true. White isn't relevant -- it's mainly just because most native English speakers are white. I would imagine that for the Japanese Wikipedia, most editors are Japanese.
