It could. But what evidence is there of that?
- throwaway1748 9y agoI have no data here, just posing a question. I think it would be an interesting hypothesis on which to run a survey. Personally, I've found that self-limiting beliefs have held me back in a number of areas — especially around confidence. Breaking past those has been very important in my life.
- golemotron 9y agoEvery study of confirmation bias. If you see yourself as an outsider you look for evidence of it and it becomes your worldview.

- tomlock 9y agoHere's the problem though - how do people determine that they're suitable judges of whether someone is marginalised or not?
