Nassim Taleb calls them IYI, Intellectuals Yet Idiots
- WJW 9y agoNassim Taleb is prime example of an IYI himself. He is often so busy denouncing what he perceives to be ivory tower intellectuals that he sweeps aside everything academia has ever created. Sure, some of it is not useful in the trading pit, but IMO in his hate of academia he is throwing away the baby with the bath water.
