Pretty much this. I'm constantly pushed to use my training budget to go to conferences, but the information density is generally so low.
- isolli 9y agoI was always told networking opportunities, not presentations, made it worth going to (maths) conferences.
- djKianoosh 9y agothe general/all purpose conferences are certainly like this with the exception of a few that arent taken over by marketers. the single language/platform ones are better in that they are usually shorter and more focused. ymmv
