I've tried the IBM and Google transcription APIs on a podcast with overlapping speakers, and they turned out dadaist poetry. I've been meaning to check out other solutions.

- braindead_in 9y agoWhere's the audio? We also provide automated transcripts and I'd love to compare it.
- pronoiac 9y agoClick the "Episode ___" link in the first paragraph, then search for "Direct mp3 download" on that page. I'd love to see more details on what you do. I haven't found a good automated solution yet. It seems like the solutions with acceptable quality involve Mechanical Turk. Edit: I added a Bing attempt, and I'll link the list, rather than individual eps: http://mefiwiki.com/wiki/Podcast#automated_transcripts http://mefiwiki.com/wiki/Podcast#automated_transcripts
- braindead_in 9y agoHere's the automated transcript from our system. I checked around a minute or so and looks like accuracy is around 80%. https://scribie.com/transcript/c5ae0522950c421c9d939dc8a17f4c5ff9cfe8d5 https://scribie.com/transcript/c5ae0522950c421c9d939dc8a17f4...
- pronoiac 9y agoHmm. Is it $0.60/min for the automated solution?
- braindead_in 9y agoAutomated transcripts are free. That's the pricing for our manual transcription. https://scribie.com/transcription/free https://scribie.com/transcription/free
