Peeling enough garlic for a 7 person dinner is actually quite time consuming.

- maaarghk 9y agoor stick it in a microwave for twenty seconds, it takes twice as long but you will avoid all that bruising.
- JoeAltmaier 9y agoBruising? You're going to be cooking it, which will break every cell in it.
- greglindahl 9y agoNot only is garlic not always cooked, but even when cooking, it makes a difference if you slice it vs mincing it. The more you damage it before cooking, the sharper the flavor.
- tallanvor 9y agoThat requires you to have two bowls of the same size, and that's two more dishes that have to be washed.
- astura 9y agoObviously you don't have to use bowls, an old pickle/sauce jar works too. You don't really have to wash it either, just put a drop of soap in it, bit of water, shake for 2 seconds, and rinse. So including cleanup you're talking 20 seconds
- thefringthing 9y agoThe two bowls thing is a notorious hoax. No one has ever gotten it to work.
