With this announcement youtube has effectively told they will only give advertisement on selected videos vetted by youtube. what about the expenses incurred for youtube for hosting small/niche channels? If its reputation that youtube is looking for, they can ask some third party to advertise on the smaller contents with a 33/33/33 split of revenue with content creator/advertiser/youtube.
