There are at least two Californias. 1. LA and Bay areas. 2.The Central Valley. One is rich. The other is poor. I grew up in the central valley. The central valley is agriculture, and is disproportionately populated by generally hard working migrants (or 2nd/3rd generations thereof) of Mexico. They pick our fruit and our vegetables, but they are dirt poor. I grew up along side them, land of dirt and chicken coops. They were my neighbors and my friends.
