Wow. This would be one of the craziest “Where we got lucky” entries for a postmortem: > the only thing that prevented the Boeing 737-800 from plummeting into the water was that its wheels got stuck in the mud. Can any of the aviation folks here comment on likely cause? Seems like brakes or a tire failure would be needed to end up going left off the runway like that.
