Ask HN: How would you store a split secret?

Say you have a secret, and you split it with Shamir's secret sharing algorithm in 3 parts, such that you can reconstruct the secret with any 2 parts. My question is: how would you practically store the 3 pieces, such that you can retrieve 2 when you need, but an attacker unlikely could get any 2 of them? I'm really interested in practical examples, including print & store in a safe, send it to a trusted friend, etc. Also the viceversa, why you wouldn't do something.
