  > but pretty much everything is fucked up, right? Depends on your definition of "fucked up" in this case. The change is that data for China-based users will need to reside on domestic (Chinese) servers. Any associated implication derived from that would be opinion-based.

    The purpose of the change is government to have physical access to that data. They have no problem getting iCloud password from any user.
