What do you mean catered towards juniors? I interview people a lot and part of the interview, junior or not, involves a short coding test. The reason it is done is because some people can skate along and make an impressive resume but there is nothing to validate that resume. How do I know someone did the work that they are claiming? Not everyone has a github, and even then it can take time to validate someone's work.
