The author is, to put it mildly, mistaken to say that "most of our science, philosophy, and religion" assume a hard division between humans and other animals. Most of our religion? Yes. Most of our philosophy? Maybe. Most of our science? No. Wrong. How could anyone post-Darwin write what this author has written...unless the person is utterly ignorant of anything approaching modern biology?!
