The estimate includes any admin on top > 4 hrs - Slightly harder tasks - change method, single new method - inc unit testing, and admin Then it gets more complicated - I try to break down into the above problem sizes, and attach a confidence level to the estimate of low, medium, high and attach a contingcy of 1.25(high)-2(low) I try not to spend too long on the estimates, unless its a later iteration as the initial round often requires redesign
