That's silly. If GIMP were a better product it wouldn't need to rely on a drop in piracy. "Free" is not sufficient for success.

- kiba 16y agoIt's still easier if you don't have to compete with pirated Photoshop.
- ebiester 16y agoAh, but if pirated photoshop weren't an option, more people would be in the user pool, and thus more potential resources for people to get those last things they need. (Well, ignoring exceptions like Pantone.)
