- DrScump 9y agoAll of which means that print runs are already inflated just to cover the returned books that publishers don’t expect to sell That makes no sense. Why would you intentionally overprint when it's common that they'll just come back at your expense? The rest of the article's narrative says that publishers print fewer copies than they would otherwise for that exact reason.

This feels quaint in the startup world, where your #1 winner can easily return 10x your #2 winner, and everything else returns zero.
