By this reasoning I would predict space travel becoming more routine (with multiple companies like Space X and Blue Origin working toward this goal), quantum computing is realized (lots of ideas on how to make it happen with lots of companies working on it), and self driving cars (lots of companies working on it, it may take a decade).
