- ng12 9y agoI don't know, I'm pretty liberal and I find political discussions on HN to be overbearing at times.
- fzeroracer 9y agoThere are definitely some issues still on HN; I've had to argue with people here that think gay people don't deserve the right to get married and I've noticed people instantly downvoted into oblivion for mentioning that they're trans.
- collyw 9y agoMy guess is that it depends on whether you look on marriage as a religious custom or a legal custom. I can understand people not agreeing with it in the religious sense (as their special book says so). Personally I say give everyone the same rights (i.e single people) and a large part of the problem would go away.
