I highly recommend that you read at least the first of these papers, "Demolishing Capability Myths", which directly addresses your point.
- EGreg 9y agoI remember reading that paper, and also about CapROS and KeyKOS when it came out. I think there was also EROS back then. Whatever happened to them?
