- troydavis 9y agoBased on the policy on CBP’s site, this significantly narrows the search scope. As CNN’s article excerpted from the policy, an exception doesn’t just require supervisor approval, it also requires reasonable suspicion of a crime or national security, and the more thorough search must be recorded in CBP’s records.
