For him, there are three principles a society should be based on (in lexical order): Maximum, equal liberties for all > Equality of opportunity > Difference principle Difference principle: Any inequality has to be to the biggest advantage for the least well-off person

- yorwba 9y agoThe Gini coefficient is about the relative inequality in a distribution. If everyone were brought down to the level of the person who is currently worst off, the Gini coefficient would improve, although everyone's quality of life decreased.
