At the VM level, List<String> is still a list of Objects that need to be cast to String whenever you access an item in the list.
- DougBTX 16y agoMore interestingly, in Java List<int> is a list of objects, boxed ints, but in C# List<int> is a list of int32s, with no boxing or unboxing.
