Care to share your usecase(s) that drive why you'd recommend the touchscreen?
On the plus side, I would imagine higher resolution translates to crisper text.
But, at the moment, I couldn't justify it to myself for several reasons:
1. Perceived negative impact on battery uptime
2. Screen wobble and fingerprints on touch
3. $350 premium over equivalent non-touch spec
- bedros 9y agoI bought XPS 15 9550 two years ago, maxed out with specs, and totally regret paying extra for touch screen and the hi-def screen, what a waste of money. the screen cannot be folded backward so touch screen cannot be used as tablet and thus wasting my money hi-def screen is is useless on 15" display other than that, my laptop is working fine with no HW issues
- robert_foss 9y agoI too have an 9550, but enjoy the 4k screen a lot, it really helps with my workflow.
