I’m glad I’m not the only one that noticed this! It’s a small detail and easy to miss, unless you’re an actual user. It makes me wonder if the engineering team doesn’t use Apple Music as their daily music player. You can work around it by the way, by tapping on now playing -> triple dot -> album cover -> artist.
