Why is California such a big place for startups? Is it "just the way it is" since Silicon Valley started?
There are other places in the United States that are much cheaper to operate (live), and in a much less aggrivating political climate, than California.

- lukehasnoname 16y agoRich people and nerds. Makes sense. Well, hopefully somewhere in Texas will catch on: Cheap living, plenty of space, cheap housing, cheap power, has coastal area... Then again, I think video conferencing, VoIP and presentations, etc., could substitute for this rich man mandating people move to work on the Internet. Why should programmers have to relocate?
