More like it keeps about 25-30% convinced they'll someday be a CEO of a corporation, so to vote in the interest of businesses. There's another 5-10% that have zero issues taking advantage of that naiveté for their own end goals. But, on the other side, you have a highly apathetic and disillusioned crowd who hardly show up to vote. And, who can blame them? The system seems built against their own interests. But it's a self-destructive thought process.
