BTW if you have a device that takes component (i.e. PVM's) you can use an HDMI->Component adapter and drive 240P/480I/480P directly from the Pi with no rescalin

The HDMI output on the Pi is really flexible... you can even coax 2160P24 out of it... at least for static 2D displays.
